A quality management system is only successful if it is accepted by the employees and used efficiently. A quality management system must be introduced together with the employees and permanently improved. This requires understanding of the system and the employees’ motivation for continual improvement and the accomplishment of corrective actions. A pragmatic procedure is necessary to adapt the system to the business and not to force a system on the business or the organization. Quality management systems shall help the enterprise – i.e. the employees - to check and to improve themselves instead of having to deal with administration files and piles of paperwork.
